Leitura do poema
Reading the Poem
“Another One” places birth and death within the brief space of a poem. At first, words emerge as something alive: a poem is born and begins to exist between poet and reader. The line “Another one” marks this event simply, as though recognizing a new presence in the world without needing to announce it loudly.
In the second half, finishing the poem also becomes a kind of death. It is not a bitter loss, but the moment when the creation stops growing in the writer’s hands and begins to live on its own. The mirrored structure joins beginning and ending, showing that both belong to the same gesture. Every poem is born as it is written, ends when it becomes complete, and is born again whenever someone reads it.
