Silencio
Por que somos
obsecados
em preencher
cada segundo
com ruído
quando a arquitetura
mais poderosa
é construída
a partir do silêncio total?
Será que uma sala
está realmente morta
se a poeira
e a luz
ainda mantêm
sua forma?
Estamos invadindo
uma câmara
em decomposição
para medir
o ponto preciso
onde o som morre.
Você consegue
suportar o som?
Silence
Why are we
obsessed
with filling
every second
with noise
when the most
powerful architecture
is built
from total silence?
Is a room
truly dead
if the dust
and light
still hold
its shape?
We are invading
a decaying
chamber
to measure
the precise point
where sound dies.
Can you
handle the sound?
Leitura do poema
Reading the Poem
“Silence” questions our need to fill every moment with noise. Rather than treating stillness as emptiness, the poem imagines it as architecture: a force able to preserve the shape of a room through dust and light. The apparently dead space remains present, holding delicate signs of its own existence.
Entering the decaying chamber feels like an expedition to the border between sound and silence. Measuring the point where sound dies means searching for an almost impossible boundary, where what we hear becomes what we feel. The final question returns the poem’s paradox to the reader: perhaps handling sound first requires learning to remain in silence. Stillness is therefore not an absence but an intense experience asking for courage and attention.
